Cottage Grove South - Stop Sign Pilot Project

The City of Houston is undertaking a pilot project to reduce speeding, crashes, and cut-through traffic in Cottage Grove South. This flyer is being mailed to all Cottage Grove South residents right now to increase awareness of the project. David Fields, Chief Transportation Planner of the City of Houston, recently spoke about these changes in a Cottage Grove Civic Association meeting.

The pilot will start once City of Houston's Public Works department places the stop signs, and it is anticipated to last about a year to gather all the data and determine its effectiveness. This is the first project of its kind in the city, and we are excited that it's happening in our neighborhood!
